Abstract
This dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.
CDRP mine footprints within the MBC assessment extent. Geodatabase contains 4 feature classes: Mine sites represented by assessment unit geometry; New Acland and The Range mine site represented by assessment unit geometry; Mine footprints represented by original geometry; Mine footprints represented by original geometry split by assessment unit.
Dataset History
Datasets were derived by aggregating mine footprint extents (Operational_disturbance_areas_region.shp, Proposed_Pits_region.shp), selecting those that intersected the MBC assessment extent (MBC_PAE_v03.shp) and coding according to relevant 'Future', 'Title', 'Mine Type', inclusion in surface water model 'SW_mod', and inclusion in groundwater model 'GW_mod'. Resulting mine footprint polygons were imprinted with corresponding assessment unit identifiers and geometries (MBC_Assessment_Units_1500_20160714_v02.shp). Assessment units intersecting mine footprints were imprinted with mine footprint attributes and assessment unit geometries were preserved. Assessment unit polygons intersecting the New Acland and The Range mines were extracted and dissolved according to assessment unit ID.
