Pedirka subregion preliminary assessment extent (PAE) surface water components

Abstract

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.

This layer has been adapted from the PED PAE to describe the surface water PAE for the region.

Purpose

This layer was created by changing the PED PAE and by using the geofabric surface water catchments to include and exclude areas potentially affected by surface water.

1. From PAE erased Lake Eyre (1:1M scale)

2. From PAE erased Warburton River catchments (geofabric surface water catchments)

3. Used Macumba catchments (geofabric surface water catchments) to connect PED subregion to Warburton River and used that section as eastern edge of surface water PAE

4. Erased anything north-east of Macumba river catchments and PED subregions

Dataset History
