Abstract
The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.
Contains files for creating interpolated surfaces of alluvium depth via ordinary kriging in R. Alluvium depth surfaces are generated for the Bremer, Clarence, Lockyer and Logan-Albert areas. The R scripts output pdf maps of the surfaces for each area.
Dataset History
Within R, alluvium depth data (see data lineage) was spatially categorised to Alluvial regions (Bremer, Lockyer, Clarence, Logan-Albert and Richmond). Elevation data from the digital elevation model (see data lineage) were appended to the data table. Ordinary kriging with elevation as a covariate to aid spatial prediction was used to spatially interpolate between observation points and create surfaces for each of the alluvial systems. Maps of the alluvium depth and standard error were output as pdf files by the R script.
The R script also output ascii grids for all of the grids displayed in the .pdf maps. These ascii files are:
-
alluviumDepth_Bremer.asc (alluvium depth for the Bremer)
-
alluviumDepth_SD_Bremer.asc (alluvium depth standard deviation for the Bremer)
-
alluviumDepth_Clarence.asc (alluvium depth for the Clarence)
-
alluviumDepth_SD_Clarence.asc (alluvium depth standard deviation for the Clarence)
-
alluviumDepth_Lockyer.asc (alluvium depth for the Lockyer)
-
alluviumDepth_SD_Lockyer.asc (alluvium depth standard deviation for the Lockyer)
-
alluviumDepth_LoganAlbert.asc (alluvium depth for the LoganAlbert)
-
alluviumDepth_SD_LoganAlbert.asc (alluvium depth standard deviation for the LoganAlbert)
-
alluviumDepth_Richmond.asc (alluvium depth for the Richmond)
-
alluviumDepth_SD_Richmond.asc (alluvium depth standard deviation for the Richmond)
