Abstract

This dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.

This dataset is a table showing all monitoring bores within 1 km distance from streams in the Namoi subregion. The data includes water levels in bores, distance from stream and name of nearest stream.

Dataset History

The Namoi bore analysis rasters dataset was joined with the Northern Inland Catchments bioregion GEODATA TOPO 250K Series 3 dataset to get the name of the closest river/stream attached to the bores. This dataset was then projected to Albers so that the Near Table tool in ArcGIS would produce distance in metres (else it was in degrees). This generated a table showing the distance from the bore to the nearest river.
