CLM Groundwater Model Boundary

Abstract

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.

As suggested by its title, the file provides the domain boundary where a groundwater model will be constructed for the Clarence-Moreton bioregion.

Purpose

It's created to limit the groundwater model extent.

Dataset History

The model domain extent and its boundaries were defined based on the following criteria:

* The model's outermost boundaries were placed far enough from the coal seam development area, such that they do not interfere with the modelling results, that is, it eliminates boundary effects.;

* Model boundaries should follow existing geological and/or hydrological boundaries.;

* Important receptors within and/or close to the development area should be within the areal extents of the groundwater model.
