Overview

The hydrologic analysis that underpinned the Basin Plan Evaluation 2020 drew predominately on watercourse discharge observations made at gauging stations across the Basin. Additionally, for the end-of-system analysis done for the Coorong, Lower Lakes and Murray Mouth, observations of water levels in the Lower Lakes and measures of the diurnal tidal ratio in the Coorong were also utilised.

The sourcing of this data was done predominately through the online water data services provided by each Basin State and the relevant attributions are made below.

Attributions

Each of the resources under this dataset contain hydrologic data taken from gauging stations across the Basin and sourced from online water data services provided by the relevant state government entity.

For QLD sites, the data was sourced from the Queensland Government's Water Monitoring Information Portal and used under a CC BY 4.0 licence.

For NSW sites, the data was sourced from the © State of New South Wales through WaterNSW via the Real-time Data portal. Details of the reuse permissions can be found on the WaterNSW website.

For Victorian sites, the data was sourced from the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning's Water Measurement Information System and used under a CC BY 4.0 licence.

For South Australian sites, the data was sourced from the Government of South Australia's WaterConnect portal and used under a CC BY 4.0 licence.
