This dataset is a Land Resource Area map of the Moreton region covering the shires of Kilcoy, Esk, Pine Rivers, Gatton, Laidley, Moreton, Redland, Beaudesert, Albert and Boonah. The Land Management Manual which accompanies this data is a collection of currently available land resource data, combined with local knowledge and experience, primarily concerning soils and their management. The manual discusses the attributes and limitations of the soils used for primary production for some 1.57 million hectares in the study area.
