Arckaringa Basin Surface Water Preliminary Assessment Extent v02

Abstract

This dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. The parent datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this dataset are identified in the History field in this metadata statement.

This dataset shows the second iteration of the preliminary assessment extent (PAE) for the Arckaringa subregion. This PAE adds a 20km buffer of the Arckaringa subregion boundary to the first version of the Arckaringa surface water PAE (Lake Eyre Basin Surface water Potential Assessment Extents v01, GUID: 58be9173-4f37-4a0e-96cd-c35f9ce35e18).

This PAE does not include springs, bores or groundwater features.

Dataset History

This second version of the Arckaringa surface water PAE extends the potential surface water extent outside the subregion. A 20 km buffer of the Arckaringa subregion boundary (Bioregional Assessment areas v02, GUID: e414b1b3-c42e-42e9-9cc4-2093054aa35f) was created using the buffer tool in ArcGIS. This buffered polygon was merged with the initial Arckaringa PAE (Lake Eyre Basin Surface water Potential Assessment Extents v01, GUID: 58be9173-4f37-4a0e-96cd-c35f9ce35e18) to create this version of the dataset.
