2024 Vegetation complexes statistics in Region...

This statistics report has been prepared to support decision making regarding the retention and protection of native vegetation and associated ecological communities across the Metropolitan Region Scheme, Peel Region Scheme and the Swan Coastal Plain portion of Greater Bunbury Region Scheme area. They provide a general overview of the status of mapped vegetation types that are considered in strategic planning and native vegetation regulation. This report provides statistics for vegetation statistics:

1 Swan Coastal Plain Vegetation Complexes (SCP) (DBCA, 2016) 1:250,000, and 2 Vegetation Complexes in the South West Forest Region of Western Australia (SWF) (DBCA, 2016) 1:50,000 (only updated for the portion within the Metropolitan and Peel Region Scheme areas).

Information is provided on the pre-European and current extent of the mapped vegetation types, proportion of pre-European within lands secure for conservation. Statistics for Local Government areas within the Region Schemes are also included, except for portions outside the Swan Coastal Plain portion of Greater Bunbury Region Scheme area.
