2000-2024 Remnant vegetation extent across...

This report compares remnant vegetation extent by Swan Coastal Plain (SCP) vegetation complexes status over six years: 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020 and 2024. The same mapping methods was used to capture remnant native vegetation for each year in the timeseries.
For each year, remnant vegetation status is reported as the total area remaining and the percentage of pre-European extent remaining. Change in retention status is shown for five year intervals and for the 2000-2024 period. Change is calculated as extent in the listed year minus the previous year, with the minus symbol indicating remnant vegetation loss. Where an increase is recorded this is due to "Remnant regrowth" mapped between the two years.
