Abstract
The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. This dataset is derived from NSW Office of Water surface water database. You can find a link to the parent dataset in the Lineage Field in this metadata statement. The History Field in this metadata statement describes how this dataset was derived.
This dataset shows the location of stream gauges within the Hunter subregion. Site details such as the period of data collection, catchment area and elevation are attached as attributes. Timeseries streamflow data for these gauges are stored in separate datasets. Selection of gauges was dependant on the length of record. Gauges with streamflow data length more than 10 years since 1980 were selected.
Purpose
The dataset was used to identify locations of streamflow gauges.
Dataset History
The data was created using the NSW Office of Water surface water data. The process steps are as follows
-
To generate a shapefile using the gauging data obtained
-
To select those gauges with streamflow data length more than 10 years since 1980
These data were created in Arcgis.
