Abstract

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.

Several groundwater numerical models have been prepared in the Galilee subregion to assess potential for local to sub-regional hydrological changes associated with groundwater abstraction by coal mines. These files outline the boundaries for groundwater numerical models from the following coal projects: Carmichael; Kevin's Corner and Alpha, China First and South Galilee. These boundaries were digitised by the Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Mines (DNRM) and utilised as part of Figure 8 in Bleakley et al. (2014). The boundaries were provided by DNRM to the Galilee Bioregional Assessments in a MapInfo (Tab) format. These files were then converted to shapefile format for use with ArcGIS mapping software. Files were supplied from DNRM to Bioregional Assessments on 13 April 2016.

Dataset History

The MAPInfo TAB files were converted to shapefiles using MapInfo software for use with ArcGIS mapping software.
