Abstract
This dataset was supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and is presented here as originally supplied. Metadata has been compiled by the Bioregional Assessment Programme based on known details at the time of acquisition.
This is a geodatabase of ESRI rasters representing the calibrated surfaces of the 30 identified layers within the Gippsland groundwater model. The layers have a cell size of 400m and extend beyond the specific area defined by the Gippsland Bioregional Assessment. They represent the dominant aquifers and aquitards of the area. Each model layer of the Gippsland Groundwater Model is a composite of a number of geological units. Please see associated report or contact the principal investigator for further information.
The Gippsland groundwater model - technical report, June 2015. Authors: Craig Beverly (DEDJTR), Mark Hocking (DEDJTR), Xiang Cheng (DEDJTR), Cassady O'Neil (DEDJTR), Ralf Schroers (DEDJTR) and Simon Baker (DELWP).
Purpose
To retain distinct geological unit characteristics and achieve the best calibration, specific zones were incorporated into each layer.
