HUN Deep Well Sealclem1 v01

Abstract

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.

Location of a petroleum well offshore adjacent to the Hunter bioregion. Used to identify the depth and thickness of geological layers in the Hunter RMS model for the offshore section of the model.

Dataset History

The coordinates and structure of geological layers for of the offshore well were sourced from the well completion report: The report lists the depth of the various formations encountered during well drilling and the elevation at the surface. Using these values the formation tops and bottoms were calculated and formatted accordingly in the offshore section the geological model.
