Abstract
This dataset was supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and is presented here as originally supplied. The metadata was not provided by the data supplier and has been compiled by the programme based on known details.
This datasets contains four layers of key stratigraphic formation tops in the Clarence-Moreton Basin in NSW provided by NSW Trade and Investment. The datasets are spatial interpolation based on seismic and well stratigraphy data.
Dataset History
This datasets contains four layers (data grids) of key stratigraphic formation tops in the Clarence-Moreton Basin in NSW provided by the NSW Department of Trade and Investment.
They were developed using SKUA 3D geological modelling software (Paradigm®).
The horizons tops are:
Ipswich Coal Measures, Richmond Coal Seam, Gatton Sandstone and Koukandowie Formation.
In the Clarence-Moreton bioregional assessment, they were used to inform the development of the 3D geological model of the deeper stratigraphic units (below the Walloon Coal Measures).
More information on how they were used in the context of the Clarence-Moreton bioregional assessment is available in Clarence-Moreton bioregional assessment programme product 2.1-2.2 (Raiber et al., 2016).
