Abstract

This dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.

Spatial dataset recording the shapes of current petroleum exploration and production licences granted under New South Wales mining legislation. The petroleum exploration and production licences information are correct as of 23 February 2016.

This dataset has been provided to the BA Programme for use within the programme only. Third parties should contact the NSW Department of Industry. http://www.industry.nsw.gov.au/

Dataset History

The shapefile is created based on the current Petroleum titles registred with New South Wales Department of Trade and Investment and located in Title Administrative System as of 23 February 2016. Petroleum Exploration licences generally follow graticular boundaries and are applied for and granted as a series of 5' by 5' blocks. Generated from the Titles Administration Relational Database System, a transactional database, updated daily.

This dataset is an update version of existing NSW_Current_Petroleum_Titles_20140331 (http://data.bioregionalassessments.gov.au/dataset/7b19fa2f-ace8-4796-8d0d-0401efd39a0e) dataset.
