Phytophthora management areas identifies a suite of priority management areas that contain biographically representative examples of those plant species (including threatened species) and vegetation communities considered most at risk from the plant pathogen Phytophthora cinnamoni. These areas are mostly disease free. Sixty-seven management areas have been selected on the basis of their suitability for management to protect against infection by Phytophthora cinnamomi, with a deliberate attempt at bio-regional representation.

The preparation of the report and the mapping of areas was a collaboration between Natural and Cultural Heritage (DPIPWE) and Sustainable Timber Tasmania (Forestry).
