Taylor Colony (ASPA101) orthomosaic and digital surface model compiled from nadir imagery acquired from a 1434 image mission by a DJI Matrice 300 quadcopter with a Zenmuse P1 35 mm RGB camera. Images were processed within Agisoft Metashape Professional. Flights were conducted and imagery processed by Dr Gwilym Price with quality control checks conducted by Dr Dan Wilkins. Field assistance was provided by the A Cleaner Antarctica Mawson field team, Dr Catherine King and Dr Kathryn Brown. This imagery provides accurate population information for the emperor penguin colony at ASPA101 (Taylor Rookery, Mac. Robertson Land, Antarctica) on the November 11th 2024, and provides modern, high-resolution imagery of the entire ASPA. Aerial population information in matched with ground-based oblique images captured on November 11th 2024. This data package includes an orthomosaic (TIF file) with 1 cm ground sampling distance (GSD), a digital elevation model (DEM, TIF file) with 1.9 cm GSD, a point cloud (las file), and data processing report (PDF).
