Updated 24/06/2025

The minor trawl fisheries include the Onslow Prawn Fishery, Nickol Bay Prawn Managed Mishery, Broom Prawn Managed Fishery, Kimberley Prawn Managed Fishery, Abrolhos Island and Mid-West Trawl Managed Fisheries. The project will: provide an overview annual report on the status of the trawl fishery resources (principally prawns and scallops) other than those of Shark Bay and Exmouth Gulf, so as to meet Fisheries WA's statutory reporting obligation under the Fish Resources Management Act 1994. * provide management advice as to the long-term sustainability of the minor trawl fisheries. * ensure all commercially exploited fish stocks are maintained above their critical biological reference point and their environments are not degraded and * contribute to the maximum socio-economic benefit from the fish resources of Western Australia

Time : Ongoing.
