The gentoo penguin data is from an island-wide census conducted on Macquarie Island by Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service in October 2021. The focus of the census was gentoo penguin breeding pairs only, and includes the number of breeding pairs observed. Point data were provided as eastings and northings in CSV format by Julie McInnes, Research Associate. Attribute data were provided by Sam Thalmann, Wildlife Biologist, Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania. Points indicate the location from where the gentoo penguin breeding pair observations were made. The CSV data were imported into ArcGIS Pro and converted to latitude and longitude coordinates and are available in the attached GeoPackage.
