Regional Climate Model simulation dataset for the Antarctica region for the years 1971-2000. Created with the CSIRO CCAM (Cubic Conformal Atmospheric Model 709) RCM (Regional Climate Model) by dynamically downscaling the NCEP reanalysis Climate Model output to 56 km resolution over a target area centered over Antarctica. 30 years of NCEP output was used as the host model (nested in NCEP), with greenhouse emissions corresponding to 1971-2000. Daily and Monthly Atmospheric variables are available between Lat:-90N -60N(.5 deg res) & Lon:0 359.5 (.5 deg res), at 5 levels (1000, 850, 700, 500, 300 hPa), 56Km resolution(C72 grid) & 18 vertical levels. There are 360 Daily files totalling 647.0 GB, 0 Monthly_mean files totaling and 360 Raw cubic conformal model output files totaling 410.0 GB with all being in netcdf format. This dataset has been created as part of a possible future Antarctic study project that little or no information appears to be available about currently. Available for internal use and analysis by CSIRO staff on the HPSC cherax.
