This report presents new SHRIMP U-Pb zircon results for 9 samples from the New England region and one from the Dubbo region. It was carried out under the auspices of the National Geoscience Agreement (NGA) between Geoscience Australia and the Geological Survey of New South Wales. The data and age interpretations contained in this report are available in the OZCHRON database, maintained by Geoscience Australia (http://www.ga.gov.au/oracle/ozchron/index.jsp). The age results in this report for the Gilgai Granite (Sn, Ag) and Parlour Mountain Leucomonzogranite (Mo) establish that some mineralised intrusions are temporally (and probably genetically) related to the main phase of I-type magmatism in New England represented by the Uralla and Moonbi Supersuites. This suggests that the eruptive equivalents of highly evolved and mineralised magmas may be present within the Wandsworth Volcanic Group. These units would have potential for epithermal style deposits, and rhyolite hosted Sn and U mineralisation.
