Abalone catch and effort (1979-current) monitoring catch and effort fluctuations in SA's Abalone Fisheries (3 zones). The quantity of catch and effort expended is recorded on a daily basis. The two main species of abalone landed from South Australian waters are Blacklip (Haliotis rubra) and Greenlip (Haliotis laevigata). The fishery is divided into the Southern, Central, and Western Zones.
