Updated 23/06/2025

The towed video surveys were conducted following the hydroacoustic surveys to collected spatially explicit information on the habitats seen across gradients observed in the multibeam data. The team carefully designed and conducted surveys for each of the study areas from June 2006 to November 2007. The field team collected over 320 hours of geo-referenced video footage, equivalent to approximately 900kms of linear footage, through various habitats in the study locations on the west and south coast. Study areas include Abrolhos Islands, Jurien Bay, Rottnest Island, Capes / Geographe Bay, Broke Inlet, Mt. Gardner, Point Ann, Middle Island.
