The location of visitor and management sites as depicted in the PWS Asset Management System (AMS). Visitor sites are subject to the Reserves Standard Framework (RSF). The RSF is an important component of the PWS visitor risk management policy and is related to the Recreational Opportunity Spectrum (ROS). Sites are attributed with their level of acceptable public risk, neutral, moderate, substantial or severe. This layer is an important strategic recreation management tool, that defines the level of expectation and service levels for each site classification. The sites represent the land footprints of a visitor activity (ie campsites, visitor centres, picnic areas etc). In addition the footprints of management activity are also included (ie. workshops, offices, staff housing). Refer to attached document links for more detail on the site classifications. Sites are on reserved and crown land.
