Progressive rehabilitation and closure plans (PRC Plans)

Holders of environmental authorities must submit rehabilitation plans for certain mining activities. These may be known under various names, but the department is currently transitioning holders towards Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plans and associated schedules to manage their land rehabilitation.

The public register includes records related to PRC Plans, as required under section 540(1)(a)(iv),(v), (xii) and 540(1)(ab) of the EP Act.
