An investigation was carried out into the feasibility of using Landsat Thematic Mapper data to map wetlands and coastal habitats. A series of images covering Bowling Green Bay were obained and classified using the microBRIAN software package. Ground truthing was then done to validate the resulting classifications. The purpose of this research was to investigate the use of Landsat Thematic Mapper data for coastal habitat mapping. This work was done under a contract to the Defence Science and Technology Oragnisation (DTSO)
