IMOS SOOP Sea Surface Temperature data collected on the Merchant Vessel OOCL Houston

This dataset contains Sea Surface Temperature (SST) underway observations collected on trips of a merchant vessel OOCL Houston (callsign VRDE7). Bulk SST is measured by SBE48 hull contact sensor. The sensor is located 8.2m below the summer load line. Observed data are 1-minute median SST values and are retrieved from the vessel once an hour and quality controlled at the Bureau of Meteorology. A daily file is available after 0100 UTC.
