The National Health Services Directory ('NHSD'), published by Healthdirect Australia, is a comprehensive and consolidated national directory of health services and related health service providers in both the public and private sectors across all Australian jurisdictions. The purpose of the NHSD is to provide consistent, authoritative, reliable and easily accessible information about health services to the public and to support health professionals with the delivery of healthcare.

This dataset was derived from service, location and organisation profiles accessed through the Healthdirect provided NHSD API and has been spatialised as a point dataset. This directory is presented as a snapshot in time as at June 2025.

This dataset is available for access to academic users once they have agreed to the NHSD terms of use; other AURIN users can apply for access to the dataset here.
