This data set forms part of the AIMS Long-Term Monitoring Program, which is the longest running coral reef monitoring dataset on the GBR. This research describes the ability of individual reefs across the length and breadth of the GBR to recover from disturbances. It is based on manta tow surveys on a total of 490 reefs from 1985 to 2022. The data was modelled using a Bayesian framework to look at the impacts of disturbances and their level of recovery compared to historical benchmarks. Parameters for this dataset include: estimates of categorical percentage of total hard coral cover.
