Abrupt Mid-Twentieth Century Decline in Antarctic Sea-Ice Extent from Whaling Records. Format is a WinZip'ed Microsoft Access 2000 database. The northernmost edge of the sea ice was derived from the southernmost positions of whale catches. A supplemental word document is also included with the dataset.
