This record describes the datasets obtained on Courageous Cruise 018. The data were obtained from the Tasman Sea and Bass Strait in March 1977. Data were obtained from acoustic and trawl surveys of Jack mackerel (Trachurus declivis) and other demersal and pelagic fish including Trachurus mccullochi. Length and weight were determined. Levels of parasitic infestation were also noted on a routine basis from all catches. Hydrological sampling of an oceanic eddy off the NSW coast was also carried out.
