The Water Lines dataset forms part of the Launceston City Council Detail Survey Database (LCC DSDB). The purpose of this dataset is to give a general indication of LCC maintained water lines. The data has been compiled over a number of years using mainly hand digitising (1:500 hardcopy plans), aerial photogrammety (1:5000 aerial photographs) and field survey work. The water line dataset can be directly related to the water point dataset that is also avialable. Other datasets included in the LCC DSDB are buildings, drainage, fences, pavement, sewer lines, sewer points, stormwater lines, stormwater points and vegetation.
