This dataset presents time series data about debtors and insolvencies for each quarter from Q4 2013 to Q2 2017. The dataset is presented by 2011 Statistical Area Level 3 (SA3) boundaries following the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS). The Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA) publishes Greater Capital Cities Statistical Area (GCCSA) and SA3 breakdowns of the number of debtors with business and non-business related personal insolvencies on a quarterly basis, using the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS). AURIN has spatially enabled the original data.

AFSA suppressed the data for regions with small numbers of individuals to protect the privacy and confidentiality of insolvent debtors. Whenever necessary to suppress data, cells are nulled. Generally, AFSA publishes data with three or more debtors.

Regional personal insolvency activity statistics are reported based on the number of debtors.

State totals include 'Other (not in ASGS).

AURIN has added month and year columns for filtering purposes
