Depth to Base Phanerozoic 1:2 500 000

Created 23/06/2025

Updated 23/06/2025

The depth to base Phanerozoic map shows estimated depth to the base of Phanerozoic sedimentary rocks over Western Australia. Contours were derived from calculations of the estimated thickness of the sedimentary succession, from geophysical modelling in selected areas, from assorted published and unpublished maps and diagrams, and from the framework provided by the Basins Subdivisions of W.A. map. Compilation scale was primarily 1:2 500 000.
