Mobile Black Spot Program - Round 1 Funded Base Stations

The Australian Government’s $220 million Mobile Black Spot Program will deliver improved mobile coverage to regional and remote Australia. Round 1 of the program will deliver almost 500 new or upgraded mobile base station around Australia – 429 Telstra and 70 Vodafone base stations. The first base stations under round 1 of the program began rolling out in 2015 and will continue for a three year period. The rollout sequence will be determined by Telstra and Vodafone based on various factors including obtaining local government planning approvals.
