Ground Surface

The Ground Surface dataset forms part of the Launceston City Council Detail Survey Database (LCC DSDB). The purpose of this dataset is to give a general indication of garden bed, nature strip, playground, recreation and sport locations and their surface materials within the Launceston municipality. These often correspond to parks. The data has been compiled over a number of years using mainly hand digitised 1:500 Detail Survey sheets drawn from field survey and subsequent field survey work.
