It can be combined with other Stormwater data to provide the entire Stormwater Network. Not all assets within the network are owned, and maintained by Brisbane City Council. A Water Body is a point in the network at which a large volume of water is retained. This may be represented as either a detention basin or a dam. A detention basin affects the downstream progress of stormwater run-off in a controlled manner by using temporary storage areas and a metered outlet device.
