The PAES inform Parliament of changes to the proposed allocation of resources since the 2021-22 Budget. The PAES, annual Appropriation Bills (Nos. 3 and 4) and Appropriation (Parliamentary Departments) Bill (No. 2) are tabled in Parliament usually in February each year. The annual Appropriation Bills require that the Portfolio Budget Statements and PAES be taken into account when interpreting the appropriated items in the Schedules.
