The data displays the distribution of EEC's based on the characteristics of the final determinations presented by the Scientific Committee under the Threatened Species Conservation Act or the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act. Other vegetation communities are based on vegetation types and descriptions published in Cunninghamia 3(4): 677-1004 1994 The Natural Vegetation of the Sydney 1:100000 map sheet. Vegetation distribution is originally based on interpretation of 2001 aerial photographs, topography and extensive ground truthing.
