The study area is shown on figure 1.1. The Menai area is going to be the focal point of substantial residential development in the forthcoming decade and beyond and the effect of this development will be to increase vehicular trip making for a number of trip purposes (ie. work, shop, educational and social) to adjacent centres such as Sutherland, Liverpool and Bankstown.
