This dataset was provided to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by the Victorian Department of State Development, Business and Innovation. Metadata was not provided and has been compiled by the Bioregional Assessment Programme based on the known details at the time of acquisition.


This data set is a group of shapefiles that describe the top and bottom elevations, and thicknesses of of coal resources in the Gippsland Basin. These include coal seams of the Yallourn, Morwell and Traralgon Formations. Names with a preffix 'Y' are seams of the Yallourn formation, Names with a preffix 'M' are seams of the Morwell Formation, Names with a preffix 'T' are seams of the Traralgon formation.

## **Dataset History** 

This dataset was provided to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by the Victorian Department of State Development, Business and Innovation by email on the 29th October 2014. No History information was provided with the dataset.
