Metadata was not provided and has been compiled by the Bioregional Assessment Programme based on known details at the time of acquisition. To show the numerous Land Classification/Landform -In Gippsland Basin study area , 169 different soil types were identified and spatially assigned. ## **Purpose** To show the numerous Land Classification/Landform -In Gippsland Basin study area , 169 different soil types were identified and spatially assigned. ## **Dataset History** By using GIS software,the spatial soil data layer was derived by merging broad scale Land Classification Survey data and 1:25,000 soil attribute coverage. It has been mapped at varying scales ranging between 1:50 000 and 1:250 000 scale.
