                <gco:CharacterString>## **Abstract** 

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. This dataset was derived from multiple datasets. You can find a link to the parent datasets in the Lineage Field in this metadata statement. The History Field in this metadata statement describes how this dataset was derived.


The aim of this dataset was to be able to map each surface water works with the volumetric entitlement without double counting the volume and to aggregate/ disaggregate the data depending on the final use.


This has not been been clipped to NIC PAEs.

## **Dataset History** 

1    This dataset has not been clipped to the PAE                        

2    Share component/ entitlement information was stored in the    NIC_WLS-EXTRACT_Wals_volume.xls and NIC_WLS-EXTRACT.xls    (GUID= 7dd7c978-299f-4d20-8c66-6c951d26fac8)                    

3    These datasets were combined by linking the 'LICENSE/APPROVAL' in 'NIC_WLS-EXTRACT.xls' with the 'Linked with WA/CA' in 'NIC_WLS-EXTRACT_Wals_volume.xls'.                                     

4    The works and share/component information was joined , linking the 'CWlicence' from the spatial data "original ARC data" to the 'WAorCA_link'. This links the volumetric entitlement to the works location.                                

5    Where there was more than one works per licence, an additional column was added 'COUNT'. This shows where the share component/ entitlement is double counted as it is matched to each work with the full allocation.                                    

6    An additional column was added 'VOL_PER_WORKS' which divides the allocation component by the number of works to give an allocation per works_for bundled licences.                                        

7    The'VOL_PER_WORKS'  column allows you to  plot the works with the share component in ArcGIS without double counting the allocation.
