                <gco:CharacterString>## **Abstract** 

This dataset was supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and is presented here as originally supplied. The metadata was not provided by the data supplier and has been compiled by the programme based on known details.


This dataset contains Qld river gauges that occur within the Clarence-Morton Bioregion.The gauges are listed in MS-Excel workbooks. This dataset (WM0154) is equivalent to the 'Stream Gauging Station Index 2013' document that is published on the Water Monitoring Data Portal (http://watermonitoring.dnrm.qld.gov.au/host.htm), being an index of historic (closed) and current (open) stream gauging stations managed by the department. Monitoring involves measurements via electronic sensors for: 'G'type stations - time series (continuous) water level (height) from which flow (quantity) is calculated, 'Q'-type stations - various water quality measurements such as temperature, electrical conductivity.
