The data defines the boundaries of the 25 Management Areas of the Great Artesian Basin for the Water Resources Plan. ## **Purpose** 

Provides digital boundaries of the management areas for the Great Artesian Basin (GAB) Water Resource Plan.

## **Dataset History** 

The boundaries were captured on request from Michael Jamieson, Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM). Digital boundaries, in Esri Shape format, were supplied by Linda Forster, Senior Hydrologist, Water Assessment, Indooroopilly. Staff of Mapping Products &amp; Services, Land Information Services, NRW, using MapInfo software, aligned the boundaries to the Digital Cadastral Database (DCDB) extracted in July 2005. The data was translated into Esri Shape files using the Universal Translator in MapInfo. Hardcopy output was produced in the form of an Administrative Plans, AP12083 (keymap) and AP12084 to AP12108 (Management Areas). These plans were prepared in accordance with departmental standard RPS/2004/1602.


Positional accuracy derived from July 2005 Digital Cadastral Database (DCDB). Boundaries were aligned to the DCDB extracted 1/07/2005.
