The first part provides general information on underground storage, with a focus on unlined mined caverns. The second part is dedicated to mined, lined rock caverns for hydrogen storage. The third part deals with the applicability of the mined, lined rock cavern concept to eleven planned hydrogen hubs. The applicability assessment considers prospective cavern locations based on the nearest potentially suitable surface geology to the planned hydrogen hubs.
