Flow is inferred to occur from areas interpreted to be zones of recharge, toward zones of discharge.\n\n## **Purpose** \n\nTo understand the possible direction of groundwater flow within the Arckaringa Basin.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThis line layer is based on available data and historical interpretation; Wohling Et al. (2013) and are primarily estimated by interpreting the potentiometric surfaces. Additional sources of data that fed into the development of these lines include the Zones of Recharge and Zones of Discharge presented in the Hydro_elements.shp. Ideally, both shape files should be viewed together.\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nSA Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (2015) Billa Kalina Work Plan - ARC. There are two separate programs of bioregional assessments.\r\n\r\nThe Bioregional Assessment Program (2012 - 2017) seeks to better understand the potential impacts of coal seam gas and large coal mining developments on water resources and water-related assets. It is one of a number of actions undertaken by the Australian Government to strengthen the science underpinning decision making on coal seam gas and large coal mining developments.\r\n\r\nThe Geological and Bioregional Assessment Program (2017 - 2021) assessed the potential impacts of shale and tight gas development on water and the environment.
