This dashboard presents the results of the survey and data compilation and the results from Victoria\u2019s waste projection model.\n\nVictoria\u2019s waste projection model estimates waste generation in Victoria 30 years into the future. The purpose of the model is to inform investment, planning and market needs for government and industry.\n\nThe data sources used to compile the statewide performance dataset include:\n<ul>\n<li>\n\nVictorian Recycling Industry Annual Survey\n</li>\n<li>\n\nAustralian Bureau of Statistics export data\n</li>\n<li>\n\nNational Plastics Survey data\n</li>\n<li>\n\nEnvironment Protection Authority Victoria Landfill Levy statement data\n</li>\n<li>\n\nLandfill composition audit data.\n</li>\n</ul>\n\nThe statewide waste and resource recovery performance dataset describes waste generation and its fate within Victoria from 2015\u201316 to 2023\u201324.\n\nVictoria\u2019s waste projection model uses the statewide waste and resource recovery performance dataset and applies material type-specific projection factors (low, mid and high) to produce baseline projections of waste generation to the year 2053-54.
