The parent datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.\n\n\n\nThis dataset merges formation isopach grids for the Nappamerri Group, Patchawarra Formation and Toolachee Formation in the Cooper Basin from South Australia and Queensland datasets, to produce a single, whole of formation isopach grid for each formation.\n\n## **Purpose** \n\nCombines formation isopach grid data from different states into a single, whole of formation isopach grid for each formation. Created to standardise Cooper Formation isopach values for visualisation across QLD and SA.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nSouth Australia - SA Cooper Basin Seismic Mapping Grids datasets (GUID: cdd1625e-64e1-41da-bff4-2e26d0fd4ad1) - and Queensland - QLD GSQ Cooper formation thickness grids v01 (GUID: 2cabb0d5-1d99-494b-9497-2bf107bf2bdd) - formation thickness grids for the Nappamerri Group, Patchawarra Formation and Toolachee Formation were merged together in ArcGIS using the Mosaic (Data Management) tool. A single grid output was created for each formation. The following combinations of inputs created each corresponding output:\n\n\n\n1. There are two separate programs of bioregional assessments.\r\n\r\nThe Bioregional Assessment Program (2012 - 2017) seeks to better understand the potential impacts of coal seam gas and large coal mining developments on water resources and water-related assets. It is one of a number of actions undertaken by the Australian Government to strengthen the science underpinning decision making on coal seam gas and large coal mining developments.\r\n\r\nThe Geological and Bioregional Assessment Program (2017 - 2021) assessed the potential impacts of shale and tight gas development on water and the environment. The Program assessed three priority geological basins: the Cooper Basin in Queensland and South Australia, the Isa Superbasin in Queensland and the Beetaloo Sub-basin in the Northern Territory (referred to as GBA regions", "image_url": "2015-10-30-051742.096388Bioregional-assessments-logo-800.jpg", "created": "2015-10-30T05:17:42.164347", "is_organization": true, "approval_status": "approved", "state": "active"}, "original_harvest_source": {"site_url": "https://data.gov.au/data/dataset/", "href": "https://data.gov.au/data/dataset/4b1fd4bd-e109-435b-a97d-01fd35ae1b67", "title": "data.gov.au"}, "owner_org": "69f37b4c-bdf0-4c85-bd56-82fa6d6b087a", "private": false, "spatial_coverage": "POLYGON ((0 0, 0 0, 0 0, 0 0))", "state": "active", "temporal_coverage_from": "2016-03-23 01:48:49", "title": "Cooper Formations Merged Isopach Grids v01", "type": "dataset", "unpublished": false, "url": null, "version": null, "extras": [{"key": "contact_info", "value": "false"}, {"key": "data_state", "value": "active"}, {"key": "field_of_research", "value": "[]"}, {"key": "jurisdiction", "value": "NONE"}, {"key": "update_freq", "value": "never"}], "tags": [{"display_name": "Cooper subregion", "id": "1f8b8aa2-7b02-400f-bdde-571c021e1889", "name": "Cooper subregion", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "geoscientificInformation", "id": "3e763a61-9b8d-4240-9db0-2a60b0a93912", "name": "geoscientificInformation", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}], "resources": [], "groups": [], "relationships_as_subject": [], "relationships_as_object": []}}
